Divya, Hip-Hop Dancer
Ballet: Build strength and flexibility through learning classical ballet techniques. Ballet classes consist of barre and center combinations. Ballet shoes (or socks for int./adv. dancers) are required.
Bollywood: learn the basics of Bollywood dance, including the historical background of Bollywood, Indian classical and folk hand gestures and footwork, translation of the song lyrics, and original choreography. Bring your friends and be a hit on the dance floor. Dancing barefooted is recommended.
Commercial: Commercial Dance is what you see in music videos. It draws from hip-hop, jazz, funk, lyrical, and more. Class is set to Top 40, R&B, funk, and acoustic hits.
Heels: Heels and a Jazz based dance class with hip-hop elements. The class is set to Pop music and the choreography has an empowered and sexy vibe. The class can be done in heels (thick heels only, like character shoes) or flat shoes (e.g. Jazz, shoes, dance sneakers, or ballet shoes).
K-pop: Originating from South Korean music groups, K-Pop dance blends hip hop, jazz-funk, and other street styles like Bangra and is set to upbeat, popular Korean music. Class is based on choreography, so dancers will learn a choreographed dance over 3-4 weeks.
Studio Hip-Hop: Our instructors teach street hip-hop dance technique and culture in a studio setting, beginning with bounces, rolls, pops, locks and breaking. Dancers will learn choreography over 3-4 weeks. Classes are set to hip-hop music.
Tap: Learn tap basics, build a rhythm, and learn some fun dance steps. Tap classes are set to classical show tunes, Broadway, swing jazz, and popular music. Tap shoes are required.
Solo Salsa: Get ready to learn all the salsa basics with no partner! This unique class will have you heating up the dance floor with spicy solo Latin moves that can easily translate to partner salsa dancing as well! No experience is necessary.
Beginning: For dancers with no prior experience
Beg/Int.: For beginners looking to move fast, dancers with ~1 year of experience, or dancers looking to revisit the basics
Intermediate: For dancers with 2-3 years of experience
Advanced: For dancers with 4+ years of training
