Teen Classes (12-18 Yrs)

 Dancers learn classical ballet technique through barre and center work. Eastside Dance draws the best from both Balanchine and Vaganova technical vocabularies.

 Contemporary movement pulls from ballet, classical modern dance techniques (Horton, Graham, Cunningham) as well as emotive movement inspired by the music.  

Commercial Dance is in music videos, on TikTok and on Broadway. It draws from hip-hop, jazz, funk, shuffling, and more. Class is set to  Top 40, R&B, funk, electronic and pop music.  

Our instructors teach street hip-hop dance technique and culture in a studio setting, beginning with bounces, rolls, pops, locks and breaking. Classes are set to hip-hop music.

 Dancers learn cheer & pom dance moves, cheers, and dance team transitions and formations. Dancers will develop their strength, coordination, flexibility, and teamwork.
