Our 2025/26 School Year Application is now open!

Eastside Dance is committed to creating pipelines and pathways for young people of all backgrounds to succeed in school, dance, and life. We realize that everyone’s circumstances are different, and we do not want resources to hinder a student's ability to take dance classes with us.

Tuition Assistance awards apply to School Year classes only. Applications must be submitted before the start of the School Year Session (September 8th, 2025) or as funding permits.

TAP is only applied to dancers under the age of 18.

Once approved, you will receive an email detailing the terms of your TAP agreement, which will need to be e-signed. Failure to agree and sign the TAP terms may result in the revocation of your TAP offer. Please find the eligibility guidelines and application below.

Summer Camp Rates:

  • 3-6yrs half day camp tuition: $350.00/week ($280.00 the week of July 4th as there is no camp on July 4th.)
  • 6-12yrs full day camp tuition: $475.00/week ($380.00 the week of July 4th as there is no camp on July 4th.)
  • Tuition is due at registration and is non-refundable after June 1st.

Can I get a refund on my summer camp?

Refund policy: If a family drops the camp after June 1st, no refunds will be issued.

This policy is in place to ensure adequate planning for staffing, resources, and facilities based on confirmed enrollments.
Alternative options:

  • Camps are transferable to another student. Please be aware that Eastside Dance does not process any financial transactions for dancers transferring their enrollment; this must be arranged directly between families. Eastside Dance will handle the name change for the transferring camper, and the transfer must occur with another camper that fits the age range for the camp.
  • Families also have the option to switch camp sessions within the summer camp program for added flexibility in scheduling.

Studio Policies

Our dress code is designed to keep dancers safe and distraction-free by having proper, well-fitting footwear and attire. Dancers must adhere to the dress code. Click here for our dress code details.

Each new student may book up to 2 trial classes. A trial class booking does not guarantee a spot in that class. If the class is filled before your trial class date, your trial class may be rescheduled to another day/time and you will be unable to enroll in that class. You will be charged a drop-in fee if you would like to book additional trial classes.

If a class is full, please sign up for the waitlist. When a spot opens, you will receive a text and email notification that a spot is available and a link to register. Registration for the open spot will be first come first serve. To be removed from the waitlist, please respond to the text or email and let us know.

 Makeup Class Policy
Enrollment reserves your dancer’s spot in class. Regular attendance is important for progress. As a courtesy, we offer up to 6 make-up classes during the School Year Session and 3 make-up classes during the Summer Session, per enrolled class, if space is available in a similar class.

  • Make-ups must be completed within the same session (25/26 Session or Summer).

  • Make-up classes will not be permitted after March 1st.

  • Make-ups are not guaranteed, non-transferable, and not available:

    • During the first two weeks of a session

    • During Watch Weeks or May/June

    • After unenrolling

    • For missed camps or camp days

During Spring, make-up students may observe when recital choreography is being taught.

Please arrive on time for class. Students who arrive later than 10 minutes may be asked to watch from the side, at the teacher’s discretion. Student safety is the primary factor in making this decision. Each class begins with a carefully designed warm-up. Missing warm-ups increases the risk of injury.

A late fee of $2/minute per child will be charged starting 10 minutes after the scheduled end time of a camp or class. For example, if a class ends at 9 PM and pick-up happens at 9:15 PM, the late fee will be $10. After 15 minutes, you will be charged $2/per minute until a parent or guardian has picked up the child. This fee is used to pay our staff for their time waiting with your child. Eastside Dance will attempt to contact the parent or guardian on file if there is a late pickup. If a parent or guardian cannot be reached after 45mins, the Police may be contacted for assistance and safety. Repetitive late pickup will result in the suspension of services.

All classes and camps are subject to cancelation if the class or camp has fewer than 4 students enrolled. If your class or camp is canceled, we will make every attempt to find a comparable class/camp at a suitable day and time. If your schedule does not allow for a change, you will be refunded for the remaining classes or camp sessions. If a class has fewer than 4 students, a teacher may elect to shorten the class if all the material has been taught.

Eastside Dance uses the Lake Washington School District (LWSD) emergency and severe weather closures as a guideline; however, we will always assess if we can safely operate. When a decision has been made to close the studio, we will email and text all impacted families and update our website homepage. If classes are canceled due to emergencies/weather/power outages, please contact our office to schedule a make up class.

Our lobby library provides dance books for dancers to read in the lobby and check out. Dancers who are enrolled in school year classes can check one book at a time. There are no checkouts during our summer session (camps and classes). Dancers have one week to return their books. Books 4 weeks overdue will automatically be charged a $20 replacement fee to the card on file.

Code of Conduct

Dancers and families must embody kindness, acceptance, and empathy towards their fellow students and Eastside Dance Staff. Any intimidation or physical/verbal harassment directed at other dancers, faculty, or staff will not be tolerated. We encourage a brave community where everyone feels safe to express themselves.

Consequences for Misconduct

Each situation will be evaluated by the Instructor or Staff, and we reserve the right to skip steps in the disciplinary process at our discretion based on the severity of the behavior.

1st offense: The student will be taken aside and given a warning about their behavior.  The student may be removed from class, and their parent or guardian will be contacted to discuss the behavior. A meeting with instructors and the program director may be scheduled.

2nd offense: The student will be removed from the studio and will not be allowed to return for the remainder of the dance year or participate in any performances. No refunds will be issued upon removal from the studio.

At Eastside Dance, we believe in the tenacity of our dancers and their ability to grow within a positive, bright environment. Together, we can create a community where every dancer feels valued and empowered.

The lost and found can be found in our lobby. Lost and found items will be donated to a local charity regularly.

We are a nut-free studio. Please do not bring nuts or food containing nuts to the studio to help keep our community and those with allergies safe.
