Exploring Movement with a Caregiver
Your little one's first dance class begins here! Together with their caregiver, dancers explore foundational movement concepts, circle dances, obstacle courses, and imaginative play with props while developing coordination, body awareness, and social-emotional skills. Each class is thoughtfully designed to support how young children naturally learn—through exploration, repetition, creativity, and multi-sensory learning experiences. Every child is celebrated, creating a positive first dance experience that builds confidence and a lifelong love of movement
Dancers must be 2 years old by their first class and be accompanied by a caregiver.

Dance is for everyone! Family Dance invites children, siblings, caregivers and extended family to experience the joy of movement together through music, creative exploration, circle dances, obstacle courses, and imaginative play with props. This child-centered class encourages connection, confidence, and curiosity while introducing foundational movement concepts in a multi-sensory environment. Whether it's your first dance class or one of many, every family is welcome to move, play, and explore together!

Discover ballet through storytelling, music, and imagination! Dancers explore foundational movement concepts through creative explorations, circle dances, obstacle courses, and props that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and self-expression while developing social-emotional skills, body awareness, musicality, and beginning ballet vocabulary. Our classes nurture the whole child by engaging multiple learning styles and providing an environment rich in multi-sensory experiences.

Through music, creative explorations, obstacle courses and imaginative play with props, dancers explore beginning ballet and tap concepts while developing rhythm and musicality, coordination, and social-emotional skills. Our holistic teaching approach emphasizes creativity and multi-sensory learning experiences alongside opportunities for developmentally appropriate skill acquisition. Every child's creative voice is welcomed, encouraged, and celebrated!

This class builds upon the creative foundations of our 3-4- and 3–5-year-old classes while reinforcing classroom structure and beginning ballet vocabulary. In addition to creative explorations, practicing skills across the floor is introduced while props and obstacle courses are used strategically for skill development. Dancers continue developing balance, coordination, body awareness, and musicality in a multi-sensory environment that promotes meaningful and memorable learning. Creativity remains at the heart of every class, encouraging artistry, confidence, and independence while preparing children to develop as dancers, innovators, and collaborators.

Strengthen skills in two styles!
This engaging combination class is designed for young dancers to continue building upon the creative foundations of our 3-4- and 3–5-year-old classes. Dancers develop their understanding of both beginning ballet and tap concepts while continuing to learn through creativity, imaginative play and multi-sensory experiences. They strengthen rhythm, coordination, balance, musicality, while gaining increased confidence and independence. In addition to creative explorations, practicing skills across the floor is introduced while props and obstacle courses are used strategically for skill development. Our child-centered approach ensures that every dancer feels supported, challenged, and successful as they continue developing as skilled dancers, innovative creators, and thoughtful collaborators.

Feel the Rhythm & Groove
This upbeat class combines the energy of hip-hop with the rhythmic excitement of tap while building upon the creative foundations of our 3-4 and 3-5 year-old classes. Through creative exploration, structured improvisation, and developmentally-appropriate movement combinations, young dancers continue developing musicality, coordination, rhythm, confidence, and self-expression. Practicing skills across the floor is introduced while props and obstacle courses are used strategically for skill development. Designed with the developing child in mind, classes balance structured skill-building with opportunities for creating, collaborating, and multi-sensory.

Move, Groove, Wiggle & Dance!
This high-energy class introduces beginning hip-hop concepts alongside breaking skills in a safe and encouraging environment. Through creative exploration, foundational skill building, and freestyle movement, young dancers develop strength, coordination, creativity, and confidence. Practicing skills across the floor is introduced while props, obstacle courses, and structured improvisation are used strategically for skill development. Every child is encouraged to explore their unique movement style while building their physical skills and social-emotional competencies.

Exploring the Wonderful World of Ballet
Ideal for dancers ready for increased structure, this class continues developing the beginning ballet skills in our 4–5-year-old classes while maintaining the joyful, child-centered approach that defines Eastside Dance. Dancers build upon their creative experiences as they develop increased coordination, musicality, strength, and foundational ballet vocabulary. Practicing skills across the floor is reinforced with the introduction of traveling on a diagonal, while props and structured improvisations are used strategically for skill development. Our holistic teaching approach remains engaging, developmentally appropriate, and child-centered while gradually increasing expectations for young dancers. Our goal is not only to develop skilled dancers, but confident, thoughtful students who enjoy the creative process as much as the performance!
