Welcome to the 2023 Spring Performance!

• All Spring Session classes will perform in the Spring Performance except our Duet & Beg. Pointe classes. 
• If you are enrolled in a performing Spring Session class, you may enroll in the Spring Performance. Almost all students choose to participate! 
• Dancers will learn their choreography and rehearse during their class time. Learning choreography is essential for a well-rounded dance education.
• On performance day, dancers will meet and stay backstage during their show. Our wonderful staff will take care of all our dancers while they are backstage so families can enjoy the entire show from the audience.

• Enrollment after January 15th, 2023, will be based on costume availability and instructor permission.

• Performances: Saturday, June 10th and Sunday, June 11th – Your class’s performance time and day will be shared with you in the spring. The performance will be one hour.  
• Dress Rehearsals & Pictures: Thursday, June 8th and Friday, June 9th  – You will be assigned a 30-minute window between 3pm-9pm on Thursday or Friday. During this time, your dancer will practice their dance on stage, with full lighting, music, and costumes. They will also get their individual and class photos taken at this time. Dress rehearsal is mandatory for the dancer’s safety. 
• Location: all dress rehearsals and performances will be held at Seattle Preparatory School (2400 11th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98102), a 20-minute drive from Eastside Dance. Free on-site parking is available. 

This is a non-profit event for Eastside Dance. Our goal is to provide a wonderful performance opportunity and dance education. To do this, we charge an all-inclusive performance fee to cover the costs of putting on the Spring Performance. We also offer payment plans and financial support through the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). 

Performance Fee: $175/Student, which includes:

• Costume 
• 2 tickets to the show (additional tickets will be available for purchase)
• Digital photos of the dancer & the full class in costume
• Video of student’s performance 
• 2023 Spring Performance t-shirt
• Theater rental for dress rehearsals and performances
• Lighting & music production (e.g., programming, edits & licenses) for each show 
• Performance staffing (e.g., stage crew, janitorial, Eastside Dance staff, and Front of House)

Additional Class Fee: $75/Class which includes: (The above Performance Fee covers the student’s first class. This fee will cover each additional class they wish to perform in. Dancers enrolled in four or more classes will only pay $400.)

• Video of Student’s performance 

Non-Refundable: Your performance fee will be charged to your card on file upon registration. Performance fees are non-refundable as they will be used immediately to reserve our theater and theater staff and order your dancer’s costume(s). 

Payment Plan & Financial Assistance:  Part of our mission at Eastside Dance is to make dance accessible to all people. If you need a payment plan, please indicate this when confirming your participation online. If you are in need of financial assistance with performance fees, please apply to our Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) at the bottom of our tuition page: https://eastside-dance.com/tuition. If you are already enrolled in the TAP program, we will contact you about performance fees once you have enrolled in the performance. 

  Do you have sewing or MC skills? Are you up for scanning tickets or helping backstage? We would love your help in creating a high-quality performance experience for our dancers. We have a variety of volunteer positions we’d like your help with. Some positions will require your assistance during the Spring Semester and others will be at dress rehearsals or on show days.
